Baby Daddy #1: Emmett Conley

 

 It was only moments after the mysterious disappeared that Keely McBride heard a knock. With hesitant steps she left what she figured was the master bedroom and went towards the sound of the knock. She soon reached the front door where she opened it to find a very attractive young man who instantly reached out and kissed her hand.  He introduced himself as Emmet Conley.

 Both Keely and Emmett retreated inside where he commenced to tell her about himself. Emmett's voice cracked slightly as he told her of his life and how it  had been saved by the same elderly woman and how he had agree in return for her sparing his life he had agreed to father five children to save Keely  from the same fate.

 

 It was the first time in a long time Keely felt pity for a man, especially a man she barely knew. It was in that moment that she was taken by surprise by her own actions as she pulled Emmett into a tight understanding hug.

 The two stood around and talked to for hours on in just like they were old friends. Soon one thing led to another and his lips pressed against hers. At first she started to pull away but something in Keely's mind told her it was okay and she kissed him back.

 They were so caught up in the moment that the two did not realize till it was too late what they had done.

 

They soon went their separate ways after the incident unsure if they should have did the deed so soon after meeting one another. Over the next few days Emmett spent most of his time in front of the TV as Keely tried to  keep her mind off things by painting.

 Night had fallen and Keely lay snuggled up between the sheets when a wave of nausea that propelling her from the bed and into the bedroom's adjoining bath.

The following morning Keely was surprised to see that Emmett was up before her and had made her favorite meal. When she questioned him about it he confided in her that he knew she had been up and wanted to make her feel better. In that singular moment she was grateful to have someone there to care for her.

 Inspiration soon struck the young woman as her ordeal finally started to become real to her. Keely had decided that since she had no other choice she might as well put her skills to use and decorate the nursery with some of her art.

Keely stood there painting a second addition to the nursery when she felt a butterfly sensation and knew for a fact that her and Emmett's fun had lead to something.
